OUR MISSION
Our mission at Medical Scribing Solutions is to bring the healthcare provider and patient back together by utilizing future healthcare providers to assist in the duties of charting, while improving the effectiveness and efficiency of electronic health records (EHRs).
It is our goal to make it easier for healthcare providers to do what they do best – see and treat patients, while offering pre-health students the ultimate experiential learning opportunity. We believe that happier physicians, more satisfied patients, and students that are thrilled with taking notes off doctors' hands is the ultimate win-win-win scenario.
OUR TEAM
Kaylie Ward
Scribe Director
A northwest Ohio native, Kaylie graduated from Perrysburg High School, before completing a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2021. She is spending her gap year as our scribe director, overseeing our team of 100 scribes.
Kaylie is incredibly talented, funny, smart, thoughtful, and has an unsurpassed passion for medicine. She hopes to enter PA school in 2023.
Jayla Pothast
Asst Scribe Director
Joining us from Versailles, Ohio, Jayla is, by far, the youngest person to join our management team. But age is just a number. Jayla is as focused, determined, and as mature as anybody that came before her.
She is currently in her second year at UToledo, pursuing biology and business degrees, with the goal of entering medical school in 2025. She works directly with Kaylie, assisting her with the day-to-day scribe operations, as well as our training program.
Chad Adkins
Lead Scribe
Also hailing from Toledo, Chad is one of our excellent lead scribes. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2020 and is pursuing a future in genetic counseling.
When he isn't planning his next trip to Vegas, he manages his team of scribes that serve healthcare providers at McLaren, ProMedica, and The Toledo Clinic. His intelligence, dry sense of humor, calm, and good nature have served MSS well for close to two years.
From Clinton Township, Michigan, Kyle is the other wonderful lead scribe that is pursuing medical school, with the goal of matriculating in 2023. He graduated from BGSU in 2021, and has been utilizing his gap year exploring several outpatient specialties, while being the main contact for his team of future healthcare providers.
Smart and loaded with curiosity, Kyle leads her team of scribes at Mercy Health, Nationwide Children's, ProMedica, and The Toledo Clinic.

Esha & Eshita
Social Media
From Naperville, IL, Esha and Eshita (The Twins) are as excellent as they come, both in and outside of the classroom. Not only do they play a critical role in scribing with healthcare providers throughout the area, but they manage MSS's social media presence.
As students in UToledo's Bacc2MD program, they hope to attend UTCOM as part of their Class of 2028.
From Fort Jennings, Ohio, Faith graduated from UToledo in 2022, by way of Findlay University where she was actually accepted into their PA program, before deciding to transfer to UT to pursue medical school.
Smart, funny, sweet, and silly, Faith does a little bit of everything for our managment team, including playing a lead role in recruitment and training/development.
